All Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) must be submitted to your company’s registered SETA by 30 April 2024. No late submissions will be allowed.
The B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice requires all companies with an annual payroll over R 500 000,00 to annually submit it’s WSP / ATR to the relevant SETA, as prerequisite for obtaining points under the Skills Development element on the B-BBEE scorecard. Additionally, companies must provide evidence of SETA approval of their WSP/ATR as part of the BEE verification process.
Non-submission or non-approval of the WSP / ATR will have major implications in terms of BEE recognition levels, as no points will be awarded under the Skills Development element of the relevant Company’s BEE scorecard in such cases. Skills Development is a priority element on the BEE scorecard and should an entity not obtain a minimum of 40% of the available points (excluding bonus points) on the Skills Development scorecard, it will lead to the entity’s overall BEE status level being discounted by one level (in addition to all Skills development points being lost in the case of non-submission or non-approval of the WSP / ATR)
